The Second Visit to the City of Bogor by Chairman Soetjipto
On May 12, 2010, Alex Soetjipto, chairman of the St. Louis-Bogor Sister Cities Committee, visited the beautiful City of Bogor for the second time in his capacity as the chairman of the Board. In this visit, chairman Soetjipto was accompanied by Consul Agus Buana, consul for economic affair of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Chicago, Illinois, in the USA.
During the visit, Chairman Soetjipto met ‘face-to-face’ with the Mayor of the City of Bogor (Honorable Diani Budiarto), the Vice Mayor of the City of Bogor (Honorable Achmad Ru’yat), the City Manager of the City of Bogor (Mr. Bambang Gunawan), and many other ranking officials of the government of the City of Bogor.
While he was in the City of Bogor, Chairman Soetjipto was the featured speaker for a meeting with the representatives of numerous high schools in the City of Bogor organized by the government of the City of Bogor. This meeting was attended by school superintendents, school principals, and students.
During the same visit, Chairman Soetjipto was also the featured speaker for a meeting with members of the local chamber of commerce organized by the government of the City of Bogor. This meeting was attended by business leaders from varieties of businesses (such as: tire, handicraft, garment, food, drink, and many other businesses).
In conclusion of his visit, Chairman Soetjipto met with the Mayor again to receive a letter for the County Executive of Saint Louis County, Missouri, in the USA pertaining to the Mayor’s greeting and best wishes to the County Executive. The letter also expresses the Mayor’s desire to visit St. Louis in the near future.
